How to prescribe

Dosage and administration

  • The recommended dose of Zembrace® SymTouch® is 3 mg injected subcutaneously.
  • Maximum daily injected dosage (in 24 hrs) is 12 mg (or 4 doses).
  • Separate doses by at least 1 hour.
  • Zembrace® SymTouch® may also be given at least 1 hour following a dose of another sumatriptan product.

Zembrace® SymTouch® (sumatriptan injection) 3 mg

Sig: Administer a single injection at onset of migraine.* May administer up to four times in 24 hours; must separate doses by at least one hour.

Disp: 1 carton (4 injections/box)†

Recommended monthly quantity is 1 carton (4 injections/box)†

†Quantity limits apply.

*Patients should administer as soon as the symptoms of the migraine start, but it may be given at any time during a migraine headache attack.
